¿Why is it important to vote?

Voting is a basic form of democratic participation. It is very important to vote, since through this act the representatives who will lead the future government of the country are elected. 

In many countries there is not even the possibility of voting to elect rulers, who are descendants of traditional castes, monarchical families or self-appointed dictators. Democratic life allows us to elect our representatives and delegate public functions to people who have the capacity and efforts to build a better common environment. Although many times these representatives are far from the values ​​that each one has. Every vote is important. Your vote can make a difference in an election and even if it seems minimal, it shows a trend and expresses an opinion. For example, if a ruler defines bad economic policies, this could lead to situations of increased unemployment, decreased family income and even increased food prices. For all these reasons it is important to vote.

  These photos are from a day we went to a national reserve in the Arrayan. The ones in the photo are my partner and my loky dog. I remember that that day we got up early to go buy meat for the barbecue at the supermarket. It was a sunny spring day. Upon arrival we were very scared because loky ran away and we could not find him. After looking for it for a few minutes, we realized that it was drinking water in the river. He is crazy, disobedient and very affectionate. When we relaxed from the fright, we ate the meat and talked for several hours on the bank of the river. Then we went hiking up the hill until it got late and we had to leave. It was a very special and loving day.

                         One of the subjects that I am most passionate about is nature. When I was little, I lived in the south of Chile, in the city of Coyhaique. There I had many outdoor experiences in the field of my grandparents. I really like horseback riding, climbing hills, and swimming in rivers and lakes. Chilean Patagonia has many tourist attractions. Where people can go to enjoy nature and disconnect. One of the most visited places are the Marble Cathedrals on Lake General Carretera. People also frequent the southern ice fields and the San Rafael lagoon. The last outdoor experience in Patagonia was with my father. We did a three-day trek in the Cerro Castillo National Reserve. Without a doubt, it was a unique moment that I will remember all my life.
