¿What do you think of the health system in Chile?

Although health in Chile has improved in recent years, there are still many deficiencies within this public health system. People serving in the private sector generally have no problems. They are cared for in clinics or medical centers, where they can access good specialists. On the other hand, the people who are in Fonasa, generally have to be treated in hospitals or CESFAM that most of the time are collapsed. Sick people often have to wait months and even years to be able to have an operation. Also, there is a long waiting time when seeing specialists. We have all seen on TV people hospitalized in the halls of hospitals. Hospital infrastructures are insufficient for the number of people to be cared for. Hygiene conditions are often very bad. The pandemic has demonstrated the precariousness of the public health system. Many people died from lack of beds. Ultimately, there is good health care for people who can afford it. People who do not have the resources must opt for an inadequate system in all respects.
