¿Private schools offer higher quality education or are simply prestigious?

Today in Chile education is very elitist. With the neoliberal ideology that was established with the Constitution of 1980 and the market reform that accompanied it in the educational field, the fact that the state directly provides the educational service to people, thus guaranteeing their right to education, constitutes in at best an exception. In general, private schools offer a higher quality education in terms of content and infrastructure. We cannot deny that there are state schools that are very well positioned in the academic ranks, but these are few and accessing them is difficult. With the arrival of the covid, the educational gaps between rich and poor have widened. It is evident that it is a state problem and not one of private schools.

When I was little I went to some Catholic schools. At the age of 12 he had a strong attachment to the Catholic religion, he went to Mass on Sundays and prayed before going to sleep. It was my paternal grandparents who instilled this religion in me.I received the first sacraments of baptism and first communion. When I grew up I became disenchanted with the church because of the cases of corruption and abuse. Today I consider myself a more earthly woman who believes that it is man, who forges his destiny on earth. I don't believe in a Catholic god, but I do believe in a kind of energy that goes beyond us. It seems to me that religions are good as long as it does not restrict people's freedom. I do not agree with punishing religions like the Catholic region. People have to be free to think and act. There cannot be a forbidding god. I do not have a formed opinion about other religions, but I would like to learn from Hinduism and other Eastern religions. It is fun to learn th...

¿What do you think of the health system in Chile?

Although health in Chile has improved in recent years, there are still many deficiencies within this public health system. People serving in the private sector generally have no problems. They are cared for in clinics or medical centers, where they can access good specialists. On the other hand, the people who are in Fonasa, generally have to be treated in hospitals or CESFAM that most of the time are collapsed. Sick people often have to wait months and even years to be able to have an operation. Also, there is a long waiting time when seeing specialists. We have all seen on TV people hospitalized in the halls of hospitals. Hospital infrastructures are insufficient for the number of people to be cared for. Hygiene conditions are often very bad. The pandemic has demonstrated the precariousness of the public health system. Many people died from lack of beds. Ultimately, there is good health care for people who can afford it. People who do not have the resources must opt for an inadequ...
¿Why is it important to vote? Voting is a basic form of democratic participation. It is very important to vote, since through this act the representatives who will lead the future government of the country are elected.  In many countries there is not even the possibility of voting to elect rulers, who are descendants of traditional castes, monarchical families or self-appointed dictators. Democratic life allows us to elect our representatives and delegate public functions to people who have the capacity and efforts to build a better common environment. Although many times these representatives are far from the values that each one has. Every vote is important. Your vote can make a difference in an election and even if it seems minimal, it shows a trend and expresses an opinion. Your vote can make a difference in an election and even if it seems minimal, it shows a trend and expresses an opinion. For example, if a ruler defines bad economic policies, this could lead to situation...

Semiotics is the study of the processes of signs, which is any form of activity, behavior, or any process that involves signs, including the production of meaning. A sign is everything that communicates a meaning, which is not the sign itself, to the interpreter of the sign. To study this, semiotics is divided into three main branches: semantics, pragmatics, and syntactics. Among its antecedents is Saussure's theory of signs, which is also known as semiology.

These photos are from a day we went to a national reserve in the Arrayan. The ones in the photo are my partner and my loky dog. I remember that that day we got up early to go buy meat for the barbecue at the supermarket. It was a sunny spring day. Upon arrival we were very scared because loky ran away and we could not find him. After looking for it for a few minutes, we realized that it was drinking water in the river. He is crazy, disobedient and very affectionate. When we relaxed from the fright, we ate the meat and talked for several hours on the bank of the river. Then we went hiking up the hill until it got late and we had to leave. It was a very special and loving day.

One of the subjects that I am most passionate about is nature. When I was little, I lived in the south of Chile, in the city of Coyhaique. There I had many outdoor experiences in the field of my grandparents. I really like horseback riding, climbing hills, and swimming in rivers and lakes. Chilean Patagonia has many tourist attractions. Where people can go to enjoy nature and disconnect. One of the most visited places are the Marble Cathedrals on Lake General Carretera. People also frequent the southern ice fields and the San Rafael lagoon. The last outdoor experience in Patagonia was with my father. We did a three-day trek in the Cerro Castillo National Reserve. Without a doubt, it was a unique moment that I will remember all my life.
